Resume
I am a lecturer at the Lusófona University of Lisbon - Department of Film and Media Arts. In 2018, I was awarded the PhD in Visual Arts from University of Évora (magna cum laude), with the dissertation "The over-stimulated spectator, the reception of contemporary photographic art ", co-supervised by Prof. José Gomes Pinto (ULHT) and Prof. Filipe Rocha da Silva (UÉ). In 2007 I completed the master's degree (MA) in Photographic Studies, directed by Prof. David Bate, at the University of Westminster in London, UK. As a practice-based researcher, my interests focus on the intersection between art and technology, especially when applied to the reception of static images (most notably, photography) in times of technological ubiquity and prevalence of interactive interfaces. From this main ground, my field of action expands, but is not limited, to interactive art, UX design and HCI. I am currently affiliated to the R&D Centro de História da Arte e Investigação Artística (CHAIA) da Universidade de Évora.
