Resume

Mariana R Batista is a veterinarian since 2006 and has concluded her Master degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2011 at Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária da Universidade de Lisboa (FMV-ULisboa) and her Doctorate (PhD) in 2020 at the same institution in the field of Veterinary Sciences. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária da Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias (FMV-ULHT), where she teaches Anatomy and Reproduction in the Veterinary Medicine degree. Additionally, she is a researcher at the Centro de Investigação Interdisciplinar em Sanidade Animal (CIISA), University of Lisbon. Her research, as well as the subject of her PhD, focuses on the mammalian early embryo development and the role of intercellular signaling pathways on the first cellular differentiation, as well as embryo- and gamete-maternal interactions and has enabled the publication of 8 peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals and several communications at national and international conferences.
