Mechanical design concepts. Cuts and sections. Quotation. Dimensional Tolerancing. Design of machine elements. Introduction to 3D CAD.
Development of the capacity of design and design through the geometric modeling of parts and sets in 3D and the application of the knowledge acquired on mechanical design.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
Development of design and design capabilities through geometric modeling of parts and assemblies in 3D (eg Solidworks, Solidedge, Inventor) and application of acquired knowledge on dimensioning, design of parts and assemblies, tolerance, standardized machine elements, among others.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Exposition of the subjects through digital, oral and multimedia support. Validation of the knowledge acquired through practical work during the semester and final work, evaluating: learning ability; ability to apply the knowledge obtained in the discipline; ability to manipulate 3D CAD programs; ability to work as a team. The evaluation includes 3 Practical Works developed during the semester (T1, T2 and T3) and a final pedagogically fundamental Final Work (TF), and the final grade is calculated as follows: Final grade: 0.4 * (T1 + T2 + T3) + 0.6 * TF
