This curricular unit aims to equip students with knowledge about the structure, requirements and good practices contained in the main normative references of international management, highlighting the domains of quality, environment and health and safety at work (TSS). It is also intended that students should be aware of the integration tools of different relevant management subsystems, namely the PAS 99 specification and the SL Annex. This course unit is designed to enable students to relate the requirements clauses of the ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (SST) standards, as well as generalize the integration to other international standards.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
At the end of this curricular unit, students should demonstrate competences that enable them to: - Know the principles and activities of planning, controlling and improving the process system of an organization. ¿Understand the model, concepts, structure and requirements inherent to the current version of the international standard for quality management systems, ISO 9001. ¿Understand the model, concepts, structure and requirements inherent to the current version of the international standard for management systems environmental, ISO 14001 and Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) management, ISO 45001. ¿To articulate the requirements of the quality, environment and SST management frameworks, using ISO Guide 72, PAS management system integration tools 99 and Annex SL. ¿Generalize systems integration models to combine the requirements inherent to two or more normative management frameworks. Know the process of programming, planning, conducting and tracking audits.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
. The teaching of the curricular unit of Integrated Management Systems adopts a theoretical-practical approach. They are lectures, complemented by the presentation and discussion of examples and case studies. It is intended that the students be able to contextualize the concepts learned in real situations of application. Assessment: ¿Assiduity, punctuality and positive participation in the classes weight of 10%. ¿Delivery of individual papers and capacity revealed in its resolution ¿20% weight ¿Group work and final presentation ¿Weight 20% ¿Final test ¿50% weight. The student will be approved and exempted of examination if the mark obtained in the final test is of at least 9,5 values and if the weighted average among the evaluation elements is at least 11 values. Exam: The student will be approved if the result of the exam is equal to or greater than 9.5 values.
