Introduction to Entrepreneurship. What is an Entrepreneur? Competencies of the entrepreneur. Think outside the box. Criativity and innovation. Creation and evaluation of ideas. Industrial property. Funding. Support funds for entrepreneurship and national and international research and development. Business Model Canvas. Business plan.
Provide knowledge about entrepreneurship and entrepreneur skills. To stimulate a creative and innovative spirit of the student and to give mechanisms for a self-evaluation of their competences. Encourage students to challenge assumptions when thinking Outside the box. Learn how to develop a business plan, information on brands and patents, and how to access financing. Develop presentation capabilities of the Pitch to lenders.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
Acquire knowledge about current entrepreneurship and the characteristics of the successful entrepreneur. Ability to challenge assumptions and think "outside the box." Gain skills to create a product or service, develop a business plan and know where to seek funding for your project. Acquiring skills to present a "Pitch".
Teaching methodologies and assessment
This UC will foster the research and development of a student's own project, which will be presented at the end of the semester to a jury of professors made up of the teacher of the discipline and other professors invited specialists and possibly by representatives of companies that integrate the Superior Business Council of Engineering, and / or venture capital fund management companies. There will be seminars to present on various topics that will foster the development of the business plan. Eventually, entrepreneurs and / or professionals will be invited to add some theme. The evaluation will be continuous during the semester and will contemplate the evaluation of the elements: a) Written project + Presentation- 80%; b) Demonstration of the effective participation of the student in the design of the project -10%; c) Assiduity-10%. The student will be approved if the result is equal to or greater than 10 values. Attention: Because it is a UC of a theoretical-practical nature, there will be no place to do normal period examination.
