Prerequisites and co-requisites
1-Cultural, social, ethical and educative view of the Physical Education and Sport Activities in the contexts of the Educative and Sport Systems and the Exercise and Wellness: the responsibilities of the teacher/coach. 2-The Social Representations of the Physical E. and Sport Activities: the Education for the Health and the Sport Education. Changing attitudes to change practices: the need to reconfigure the concepts competition, performance, victory/defeat, success/failure and to deal with the errors. The long term athlete development. 3-Leadership and Communication. The styles of leadership and the tools of the pedagogical intervention. The behavior of the teacher/coach in the lessons, the sessions of training and the sport competition: the role of the Observation and the Observation Systems
4-The teaching-learning process in the Physical E. and Sport Activities: constraints and facilitators factors. The Instruction process, the Correction of the skills and the Pedagogical Feedback.
Develop a Physical Education and Sport Activities perspective as an expression of Culture, way of social intervention and as instrument of education in the contexts of the Educational System, Sport System and
Exercise and Wellness.
Develop the ability to critically analyze the Physical Education and Sport Activities in order to promote "Best Practices."
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
Provide students with the pedagogical and didactic tools for the organization and supervision of teachinglearning and improvement processes in different areas of practice of Physical Education and Sport Activities.
Promote in students, in the various contexts of practice of the Physical Education and Sport Activities, a reflexive behavior, evaluating with regularity their practices and value system, essential to its self-training and personal development.
Encourage in students an attitude of research and innovation in the fields of educational theory and practice of Physical Education and Sport Activities.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The classes take place in a theoretical and theoretical-practical format being used, in the management of contents, on a combined basis, different teaching methods and forms of evaluation: (1) development of
contents (information sessions), (2) critical analysis of selected texts and videos, (3) simulation of pedagogical-didactic situations,
(4) critical analysis of facts of everyday life (experiences of the students and / or research in the media), (5) analysis and discussion of relevant issues (identified in a group work system), (6) performance of formative
tests, (7) performance of thematic academic written papers (individual and group), (8) use of B-learning system; (9) achievement of two summative written tests.
Continuous evaluation combines the academic written papers and formative tests performed (50%) with two summative tests (50%). The evaluation by means of a final examination includes a written and an oral tests.
