The goal of the Urban Design: Walk, Experience, Design summer course is to deepen the students¿ knowledge and professional skills in urbanism, and particularly in the sub-areas of urban design and requalification of deteriorated/underutilized areas of the city. Starting from physical-spatial (field analyses), social (community of users and representatives), economic (market demands), and historic studies of the area, students will explore the existing potentials and develop strategic solutions for its development.

Have completed a total of 10 ECTS
Capacitate students for a fast and efficient design process for the restructuring of an urban area. Starting from a multi-method analysis process, including conventional and innovative techniques, and the understanding of existing challenges and opportunities, the students will develop specific intervention design and implementation proposals for an area of Lisbon city..
Who should apply
Primarily bachelors, masters, and doctorate students, and young professionals in Urbanism, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Design, and Engineering. The course will also accept students from other areas with a strong interest in urbanismo and urban design. The course will also seek internatinal participants.
