Syllabus
The contents are based on the study of:
-Bending in beams;
-Columns;
-Statically indeterminate Beams;
-Predimensioning;
-Safety and actions in buildings;
-Soil types and their behavior.

Objectives
It is intended to convey the knowledge in determining the structures of predimensioning, analyzing simple hyperstatic structures, soil identification and their characteristics. In this sense the program will be developed through solving practical exercises which aim to encourage the student to implement the concepts and methods acquired

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
/ The syllabus will be provided to students using the documents in digital format by the teacher, accompanied with exercises taken from the bibliography.
The evaluation shall be made on the basis of a theoretical component. The theoretical evaluation will be processed through 2 (two) individual tests and with consultation. Students with rating equal to or greater than 10 examination-free values. The exam is a written test. Students shall be approved with not less than 10 note values.
