Objectives
Objectives
This course explores producing techniques and the relationship creativity plays on a film or video project that has specific limitations and restrictions of time and budget. The course examines the correlation between creativity, script and budget so that the producer and the creative team are able to get more pictures and story value for the money available. The course includes the fundamentals of production organization, budgeting and logistical planning and a comprehensive understanding of the tenets of producing the feature length project; from the creative elements needed for the fiscal investment to the completion of the final project. It discusses film production management, and provides a clear and comprehensive dialogue focusing on creative production problems and problem solving and the relationship to time, money and the artistic process while protecting the creative integrity of the project.
