Presentation
This curricular unit should provide and motivate students to create 3D environments, with a more artistic look. Through Autodesk Maya software, as the main construction tool, a set of knowledge and techniques is proposed, ranging from 3D modeling (part II) to texturing processes, creation of light environments and post-production of 3D projects. Along the way the student will have proportion and this 3D scenario for an animation project.

This curricular unit aims to provide and motivate students to create 3D environments, with a more artistic look. Through the exploration of technical processes and work methodologies, the student is invited to take a path for the development of a 3D scenario for a possible animation project with cartoon aspect.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
This discipline is based on a theoretical and practical basis that explores methodologies and processes for creating 3D scenarios. For the development of these, it is intended to implement work reasoning presented in class, from accompanied exercises, with the aim of promoting the creation of robust work methodologies. Therefore, these factors are decisive in the development of the curricular unit project.
Evaluation system:
The evaluation is continuous and consists of the realization of a practical and individual project, elaborated throughout the semester and divided by the following phases of evaluation:
- Toon Shader Exercise: 10%
- Project file (Concept Art of the 3d scenario): 5%
- 3D modeling and UVs of the 3D scenario (designed by the student): 30%
- Sketch of Light + Textures + final look: 40%
- Project presentation board: 10%
- Post-production: 5%
