- Minimization, compensation and monitoring programs
- Discussion of case studies: impacts induced by different project typologies according to their characteristics. Scope definition. Environmental factors of major and minor significance. Minimization / compensation measures, monitoring programs.

Objectives
Objectives
Empower students to acquire basic knowledge on the subject of Environmental Impact Assessment, analysis, and evaluation of impacts generated by new projects and plans, amendments to existing as well as develop the ability to integrate environmental issues in land planning. Acquisition of knowledge of the legal framework. Consolidation of concepts and knowledge through the discussion of case studies.
The course aims to meet the needs of multidisciplinary training in the area of environmental impact assessment in various stages of design, construction, operation and decommissioning projects.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Expository/interrogative method; development of works and challenges using bibliographic research and internet; individual/group work, case studies have the objective of applying and amplifying acquired knowledge, reflection, and discussion; consultation of environmental impact studies, public consultation and stimulation of debate, innovation and creativity.
Use of active learning methodologies, namely: Case Study Analysis; Brainstorming; Role Play, Mentimeter, Flipped Learning, Mind Maps, Systemic Thinking, privileging the 4 C's of Education (Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, Creativity).
Continuous assessment with attendance of students to a minimum of 2/3 of the classes, completion of worksheets and group work, written and oral presentation, and debate. A frequency will be performed minimum grade 10(9,5). Works developed will have a weight of 60% in the evaluation and the frequency 40%.
Written exame for unsuccessful students; minimum grade 10(9,5).
