Class Theory of Sports Training II - Aquatic Activities

  • Presentation

    Presentation

    In a country where 50% of the borders are water, where access to the river spaces grows and in which, since the decade of 90, the built aquatic spaces proliferate, the aquatic activities associated with leisure and the promotion of welfare play an important role that justifies its integration into the curriculum of any physical exercise professional. Understand the biomechanical and physiological assumptions inherent to the immersed body, know and know how to use the potential of the aquatic environment for the realization of exercise, know and know how the human being adapts to this involvement and how it can enjoy it with greater effectiveness and efficiency, both in the context of swimming pool and at sea, are the principles that guide the development of the 3 blocks of content that comprise this UC: Swimming, Surf and Water Fitness Exercise.

  • Objectives

    Objectives

    Skills to develop:

    1. Identify the specificities of the aquatic environment and the intervening factors in the intervention in the aquatic space;

    2. Recognize the repercussions of the physical laws and properties of water in the practice of aquatic activities;

    3. Describe the objectives of aquatic environment adaptation;

    4. Apply appropriate methodologies and exercises for baby swimming classes;

    5. Apply games and recreational activities based on the development of basic aquatic skills, adapting them to the target population;

    6. Identify the objectives, benefits and variants of Hydrogymnastics;

    7. Apply different types of water aerobics exercises, adapting the work according to the depth of the pool;

    8. Identify which elements vary the intensity and complexity of the exercises;

    9. Plan and guide, adaptation to the aquatic environment and Hydrogymnastics classes, for a specific target population, according to the objectives and using different methodologies and teaching styles, duly appropriate.

  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Swimming: Theoretical assessment: A frequency with a weight of 40% in the final grade (9.5 mandatory minimum values) will be carried out. Practical assessment: Planning and teaching a class on Aquatic Environment Adaptation and Swimming for Babies, in a simulation of a real context of pedagogical practice, with a weight of 60% in the final grade.

    Hydrogymnastics: Theoretical assessment: A frequency with a weight of 40% in the final grade (9.5 mandatory minimum values) will be carried out. Practical assessment: Planning and presentation of a 10 min practical session in "shallow-water", in a real context simulation of the pedagogical practice, with a weight of 60% in the final grade.

    Surf: Theoretical assessment: A frequency with a weight of 40% in the final grade (9.5 mandatory minimum values) will be carried out. Practical assessment: with a weight of 60% in the final grade.

    Final classification: average of the 3 blocks, being mandatory to obtain a minimum of 9.5 in each one.
