Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
The curricular organization enables the students to acquire different general and specific facts, skills and abilities that embody the objectives of the study plan: Acquisition of a comprehensive analytical insight and foresight of the different dimensions, designs and dynamic problems, levels and agents of social life: economic, political, family, institutions and organizations, culture, identities, territoriality, etc. Acquisition of frames of fundamental reference (assumptions, concepts, classifications ...) for the analysis of specific social processes, as well as for the formulation of solutions or supporting processes for the planning, intervention and evaluation of actions or projects and their respective foundations. Knowledge and ability to use tools and techniques in order to collect, process, work, classify and communicate information, ideas and issues, surveys, interviews, case studies, or to support intervention processes of activities and projects of a socio-economic, political and cultural , professional nature, activities and projects pertaining to social inclusion and citizenship. Personal and interpersonal skills to carry out tasks in a responsible and first-class manner when working autonomously or as part of a team and predisposition to carry out lifelong learning.

Objectives
Objectives
Besides its other objectives, the licentiate degree in Sociology aims to provide general training skills based on advanced materials in Sociology that are relevant to the professional practice in different places and roles in different profit-making or non-profit, public and private production and service organizations that involve different social dimensions, both in what regards the analysis and problem solving, the processing of diverse information and, communication processes, autonomous or team work, in addition to the desire to remain open to life-long learning. The study cycle is based on a curricular organization and teaching/learning methodologies that are geared toward the acquisition of knowledge (learning and knowing how to learn) and the ability to implement the same in the form of skills, so that at subsequent stages, they may be used in professional practices and employment opportunities and broadened through life-long learning processes.
