Entrance Conditions
The following may apply for the Master's Degree:
a) People who hold a B.A. or equivalent degree;
b) People who hold a foreign academic degree awarded after a 1st study cycle organized according to the Bologna Process by a member state of that process;
c) People who hold a foreign academic degree acknowledged as a degree satisfying the objectives of the graduate degree by the due body;
d) People who have a school, scientific or professional curriculum acknowledged by the due body of ULHT certifying the capacity to obtain this study cycle.

Objectives
This proposal main objective is the promotion of research and criticism around the practices, methodologies and epistemological and aesthetic bases, creation and production of documentary cinema. As complementary objectives should be mentioned: - the promotion of research on documentary film at the national and European
- the promotion of study and practice of media literacy around the analysis, study and production of documentary films,
- the study of the integration documentary film in the training program in film and media at
Universidade Lusófona second cycle; - strengthening the capacity of training and research at the University areas of film and ausiovisual
- the promotion of reflection and criticism around documentary film - the promotion of European integration and international research and creative practices around documentary film by the potential that derives from the already obtained accreditation of this course as Erasmus Mundus Masters.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
- Knowledge of the main theories and historical aspects related to film documentary aesthetic approaches and
their artistic manifestations in Portugal and in Europe,
- The acquisition of skills in writing, producing and directing documentary film;
- The acquisition of technological skills on the devices associated with the production of documentary;
- Exploration of skills around the applications of documentary cinema in different artistic and technological
contexts;
- The acquisition of critical and analytical skills for applying the concepts and principles associated the
production of documentary filmmaking with oum instrument of reflection and social analysis
