To develop knowledge, skills and competences about methods of scientific research in the context of exercise and well-being. 1. To develop the capacity for systematic analysis of scientific publications and critical reflection on them. 2. Develop skills and autonomy in the development of scientific projects. 3. Know and develop the capabilities of quantitative data analysis.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
1. To develop the capacity for systematic analysis of scientific publications and critical reflection on them. - To know the methods of bibliographic research available in databases (eg, Pubmed, Sportdiscus) - To develop techniques for reading articles (reading sheets) and articles presentation 2. To develop skills and autonomy in the elaboration of scientific projects. - Know the elements of a project and its components. - Develop skills in the preparation of a pre-project. 3. Know and develop quantitative data analysis capabilities. - Master, from the user's perspective, SPSS or PSPP software - Master the definition of statistical procedures in different analysis scenarios.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Continuous assessment: The unit will include expository sessions (25%) and theoretical-practical sessions (75%): The evaluation will be carried out through 4 group assignments (2 presentations and 2 written documents) and 2 individual assignments. The grade will be calculated according to the following formula 0.40 group work x 0.60 tokens. In the group work we are requesting the development of 1 research project, framed in the research lines of the master's degree. As the students present their work, they receive feedback and content that allows them to develop the project. The final text will have the following organization: introduction (5000 characters), objective (1000), method (5000 characters) and references biblográficas. The individual records focus on the methodological aspects of scientific research and data analysis. The b-learning system will be used, based on the moodle platform. Assessment by examination: the student who does not fulfill these requirements should resort to examination.
