1. Master the conceptual framework related to Sustainable Development and Sustainable Tourism. 2. Understand the relationship between Sustainable Tourism and the tourist competitiveness of the territories. 3. Perceive planning as a way for Sustainable Tourism. 4. Identify and operationalize models of tourism planning conducive to Sustainable Tourism 5. To problematize the role of innovation and creativity in the field of tourist competitiveness of the territories.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
1. Analyze critically the path of the sustainability paradigm from its genesis to the present. 2. To relate the competitiveness of territories with the sustainability of the model that guides their development. 3. Define and operationalize planning models conducive to Sustainable Tourism. 4. Critically analyze tourist territories from the perspective of Sustainable Tourism
Teaching methodologies and assessment
- Theoretical classes using expository and interrogative methods. - Practical classes, with emphasis on active methods, using practical exercises, case studies, analysis and discussion of scientific articles. - International and national benchmarking for the critical analysis of tourist territories, based on the Sustainable Tourism paradigm. Assessment: Individual practical work: 100% (60% written work + 40% presentation)
