Angelini University Award 

The Angelini University Award! Portugal is an initiative aimed at young people attending higher education in Portugal in the area of Health. The competition aims to encourage projects in this area, with practical applicability, which allow generating innovation and promoting young entrepreneurship.

Annually the 'AUA!' launches a new theme with relevance and relevance in the world of healthcare. This year the competition launched the challenge of finding solutions for the approach and management of epilepsy. The team formed by students Stephania Machado (Biomedical Engineering), Evna Mascarenhas, Beatriz Gonçalves and Luís Baptista (Biotechnology) and coordinated by Professor Tiago C. Reis was selected for the semi-final of the competition whose ceremony took place at the end of the year. Prize delivery ceremony will will take place on November 3, 2023, Friday, at the Pavilhão doconhecimento - Ciência Viva, in Lisbon.
