Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
On January 21, the EPIC-WE project organised a workshop entitled “Cultural Game Jams and the Quadruple Helix Innovation Model”, bringing together secondary school and university teachers, as well as professionals from the creative industries and cultural institutions. The aim was to equip participants with the skills needed to organise a Cultural Game Jam in an educational context.
In the first part of the event, Professor Conceição Costa presented the EPIC-WE project, the concept of a Cultural Game Jam and the Quadruple Helix model.
After a coffee break, Professor Wilson Almeida led a practical exercise on developing a Cultural Game Jam. Participants proposed themes and formed groups to work on a possible application of the Cultural Game Jam, including cultural facilitators and activities that could inform the development of the games.
At the end of the session, there was a peer discussion moderated by Professor André Graça.
The event brought together 22 participants, including teachers, members of cultural institutions and video game companies.
