Lusófona University creates technology training academies

Universidade Lusófona and Stratesys, a digital hub between Europe and America, recently signed a protocol for the creation of training academies, internship programs and integration projects in the labor market, aimed at students from several areas of technology.

The main objective of this project is to bring academic training closer to professional experience, collaborating with specialist teams in projects and real challenges of the labor market. A partnership that seeks to accelerate the digital skills of young graduates and recruit new talent, especially to allocate to international projects.

It is important to know that work has a two-way sharing focus: Lusófona University provides access to training and academic support in research and training projects. On the other hand, Stratesys develops internship programs and training academies for students in areas such as Computer Engineering, Management Informatics, among others, following the Challenges in cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence - The first Technical Academy starts in February 2023, within the scope of the Tecweb Informatics Week of Lusófona University. On the occasion, students will have the opportunity to start their professional career in the world of technological innovation, in particular at Stratesys.

A point of interest in this partnership is to verify that, in Portugal, young people have a high technical training and, for cultural reasons, it is quite easy for them to work with other languages, in addition to an enormous sense of responsibility and commitment to the challenges that are proposed to them.

According to the director of the Degree in Management Informatics at Universidade Lusófona, Rui Ribeiro, this is a fundamental collaboration model for the growth of our students. “The students will be able to align practical knowledge with the scientific knowledge of the University. This is one of the ways that the University has invested in the fundamental connection to the business market, capable of guaranteeing a reality of the present and the future also in academia”, he concludes.
