Violent Love Seminar
The event addressed the issue of violence in relationships through students and experts on the topic
21.02.24 - 10h28On February 14th, students from the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences and Business (FCESE), on a symbolic date, held their appeal and raised awareness of the issue of violence within relationships. The "Violent Love" session was held within the scope of the “Stage II” curricular unit under the supervision of Professor Mónica Teixeira.
This event was organized by Professor Cristiana Almeida, director of the Social Service course, and her students. For its implementation, it was important to have guests who have personal or professional experience related to the topic, thus transmitting their knowledge to the students present at the session.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Paula Caldas, Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG), Marlene Fonseca, Portuguese Victim Support Association (APAV) and Dr. Isabel Louçano, Casa Abrigo – Casa of Santo António.
This initiative was essential for everyone who, whether or not they are in a relationship, understands the guidelines for a healthy relationship according to science and first-person testimonies.
