Main Duties

• Teaching and Mentorship: Deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops in management courses; guide and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in their academic and research efforts;
• Research: Conduct original research in management, publish findings in reputable academic journals, and present at conferences. Secure research funding and collaborate with colleagues on research projects;
• Curriculum Development: Develop and update course materials, curricula, and programs to ensure they meet current academic and industry standards;
• Academic Leadership: Provide leadership within the department, contribute to strategic planning, and participate in faculty committees. Mentor junior faculty and contribute to faculty development;
• Service to the Institution: Participate in administrative functions, such as serving on university committees, contributing to accreditation processes, and supporting institutional goals and initiatives;
• Community and Industry Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners, contribute to community outreach, and participate in activities that enhance the institution's visibility and reputation;
• Continuous Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of management, participate in professional organizations, and attend relevant conferences and workshops;
• Develop advanced and international research at the Intrepid Lab, within the scope of economic and business sciences and related areas;
• Contribute to promoting the internationalization of the Intrepid Lab;
• Lead and cooperate in the application processes for national and international competitive funding;
• Collaborate in scientific research training activities included in the Intrepid Lab's scientific strategy.

Contractual Terms

• The role of PhD faculty/researcher is performed under a permanent employment contract, in accordance with the Labour Code;
• The tasks to be developed in this position are those considered within the scope of ECEO and the Research Unit – Intrepid Lab;
• The contract to be signed is expected to begin on 1st September 2024;
• The tasks covered by the employment contract will take place at the Campo Grande 376 facilities in Lisbon, or in locations deemed necessary.
