Objectives

Understand and discuss main contemporary approaches to International Relations.
Acquire global and structuring skills on the reality underlying the concept of International Relations, the interaction of the actors involved in the production of international phenomena, the paradigms and main theories of International Relations, as well as the historical evolution of international society and relations. that develop within you.

Understand and discuss main contemporary approaches to International Relations.

Acquire knowledge about contemporary problems of international politics and ability to analyze and interpret pertinent historical documents, understanding them in the context of the History of International Relations

Develop skills to communicate, written and orally, and critically argue about the knowledge gained through the use of specific terminology in the history of international relations and the theory of international relations.

Prepare to perform International Relations tasks

Teaching methodologies and assessment

The teaching methodology includes the presentation of the subject and contextualization of concepts and problems by the teacher, accompanied by the presentation and discussion of works by the students, as well as the preparation of a written and oral report, presented by the students on the topics of the program.

The assessment methods and criteria comprise two modes, alternatively: continuous assessment or assessment by examination. Continuous assessment (student participation in class (minimum attendance at 50% of classes and quality of participation and interventions) of knowledge is made on an individual basis, expressed in the 0 to 20 grade.

It is considered successful to obtain a rating equal to or greater than 10.
