Presentation
The student should be able to organize and present a written text or oral work, using the most basic criteria and standards recommended and used in the field of Scientific Work Methodology. It will also have the skills to organize and submit a written monographic work, applying the knowledge learned in this curricular area.

Syllabus
Research: strategies used in this field. Direct and indirect documentation. Phases of bibliographic research. Types of bibliographic form. Bibliographical survey. Cautions to take into account and how to use a library or a file of traditional sources (printed or handwritten) or computer. General structure of a publication or scientific work. Bibliographic reference criteria. Final presentation.
Objectives
Upon completion of the curricular unit, students will have the basic knowledge and skills allowing them to design and elaborate a scientific work.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
In this curricular unit, the teaching methodology is composed of theoretical classes, followed by practical classes, in particular the use of computer resources to improve formal domain skills. The evaluation is composed by the accomplishment of a monographic work, where the acquired knowledge is applied.
