1 - Basic mathematical instruments to support economic analysis 2 - Main economic concepts 3 - Market equilibrium - supply and demand model 4 - Macroeconomic Concepts 5 - National Accounting 6 - Simple Keynesian model in closed economy, stateless and with 7 - Inflation and unemployment
Objectives
Acquire familiarity with economic reasoning. Understand how economic reality works. Make appropriate use of the instruments available to economic theory. Simulate market situations. Relate the concepts of inflation and unemployment.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Theoretical-practical classes with a total workload of 60 h. In class the general knowledge of the subject is taught, with a view to learning the subject, and exercises are conducted leading to the application of this knowledge in solving concrete problems. Students are monitored by the subject teacher in individual or group sessions.
Assessment Rules: 2 practice tests (20%); 2 Tests (the first with a weight of 35% and the second with a weight of 45%) or Exam (100%).
