Syllabus
The formal rules of presentation of a written work: cover; index; introduction, object, objectives, theoretical foundation, methodology, enunciation of the sub-themes in the chapters; development of the theme; conclusion; bibliography; citations; pagination; appendices and annexes. The organization of the research: the formulation of a question of departure; the literature review; definition of the problem; construction of the analysis model; the formulation of hypotheses. Data collection techniques: the various sources of information; sampling; the questionnaire survey; the interview. Case analysis (participant observation, life stories and monograph). Analysis and interpretation of the results: content analysis; analysis and treatment of quantitative data. Organization of the seminar or the internship report.
Objectives
To know, to understand, to use and to distinguish the basic procedures that the academic community uses in the collection, treatment, interpretation and diffusion of the scientific information. Organize a seminar or prepare an internship report.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
The successful completion of the monograph will attest to the skills acquired by the student in organizing, researching and organizing a seminar.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Students must prepare a preliminary research or internship (maximum of 10 pages) that will count 15% of the final grade. The teacher, in addition to the classes, tutorially accompanies each student in the elaboration of his research work. The presentation of the seminar or the internship report is equivalent to 85% of the final grade.
