The discipline of internationalization and innovation strategies aims to provide students with a global perspective on the impact of the Strategy on competitiveness (of companies, nations and cities). The main domains of intervention are the global economy, culture, innovation, competitiveness, internationalization and communication in the context of business strategy. All these domains framed in a digital perspective of the economy.

Objectives
Introduce the fundamental concepts of the relations between Society-Technology-Science, as support of Innovation. Innovation as a factor of increased competitiveness. The Internationalization of the Portuguese economy. To study the main models of Strategy in the companies management support; Develop the concept of Alliances, Mergers and Strategic Partnerships as a response to the need for skills, scale and notoriety. Analyze the different forms of internationalization of companies.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Expositive method to present the theoretical contents interspersed with examples of application in business practice of the subjects taught. Two evaluation tests each with a weight of 50% in the final evaluation.
