Acquire the critical analysis required skills through full-scale visualization of the entire organization to develop a vision and identify the most appropriate strategies in the area of human resources management, including training and development. The student develops the following specific skills:

Syllabus

PC1: Training and Development framework in the strategic planning of Human Resources management;
PC2: Training as a motor for the development of people and organizations. The self-formation. Lifelong learning;
PC3: The importance of training and development of collaborators in the context of strategic management of organizations;
PC4: The economic-financial and legal aspects of vocational training in companies. The CT and IEFP guidelines. The ROI of training;
PC5: The legal obligations of companies regarding training;
PC6: Theories and pedagogical models of formation;
PC7: Training Cycle Management: Training Needs Diagnosis, Training Plan, Budgeting, Scheduling, Implementation, Evaluation and Control, Training Activity Report;
PC8: Interculturality in Formation;
CP9: The role of HRM in knowledge management;
CP10: Training and Development Challenges: Simulation, virtual and augmented reality.

Objectives

LO1: Understand training and development legal framing in national vocational training system;
LO2: Identify the principles of training and competences development systems;
LO3: Recognize the principles of knowledge management and skills management;
LO4: Associate training systems with performance appraisal and management activities;
LO5: Associate training systems with career path management;
LO6: Recognize the importance of results orientation for training management function;
LO7: Develop internal communication processes to training and development objectives;
LO8: Recognize the main supports of Human Capital management.

Teaching methodologies and assessment

Theoretical classes and theoretical-practical classes. Theoretical classes present the concepts, principles and essential theories about formation and development.
In the tutorial classes there is a debate about case studies that illustrate the subjects treated in the theoretical classes, the reality of the organizations, as well as the individual works that will be later presented and debated. In practical classes, students are presented before case studies in national and international context for the identification and development of critical and essential skills of employees.

  • Intermediate Test (30% - 6 points)
  • Final Test (30% - 6 points)
  • Individual work (40% - 8 points):
  • Research work (30% - 6 points)
  • Class participation (10% - 2 points)

2. Final Exam (100%) at exam time.
