    Objectives

It aims to provide students with a wide and deep knowledge of the normative concepts, principles and institutes of the property law, as well as of the legal regime of each right in rem of enjoyment. This knowledge aims to enable students to solve practical questions that may be asked not only during the study of the curricular unit, but also to know how to apply the law of things in the resolution of concrete cases of a private law nature in their future academic and professional career.

  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

The teaching of the curricular unit is based on a model of theoretical exposition of the syllabus, which is later complemented with a practical aspect composed of the analysis and interpretation of jurisprudence and the resolution of hypothetical situations but inspired by real life. For their continuous assessment, students take 1 or 2 written tests (60%), and participation in scientific events organised by the faculty, attendance, oral participation and quality of written expression (40%) are also elements of assessment. Failure to attend 70% of the theoretical classes or 70% of the practical classes is an objective criterion for the exclusion of the student from the continuous assessment, and may even make it impossible for him/her to take the continuous assessment test or, if applicable, the second continuous assessment test. In the absence of continuous assessment, the student may take the appeal exam.
