Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired

To ensure mastery of the Educational Sciences and the interdisciplinary field of Physical Education and Sports, in terms of critical understanding not only of the education system, its structure, and social and political dynamics, but also of the teacher's responsibility and the role of all participants in the educational process; To teach the disciplinary subject matter and stimulate its critical and autonomous use within the Physical Education curriculum for primary and secondary education; To promote the progressive integration and accountability of students in the context of pedagogical practice; To teach and support students in the application of appropriate research methodologies for the study of school education issues: in didactics and assessment, school organization, and its relationship with the community. Within the integrated teaching methodologies, there will be a fundamental concern: scientificity. Scientificity because every statement, every decision, and every proposal requires a foundation; because in this search and in the degree of uncertainty in the foundation itself lies the seed of research leading to more knowledge and better practices.
