O Prof. Carlos Matias Ramos, docente da licenciatura em Engenharia Civil e membro do Comité Económico e Social Europeu (CESE), fez no dia 6 de novembro, uma apresentação no Parlamento Europeu sobre "A União de Energia, Impacto na Península Ibérica: Princípios, Riscos e Metodologias".
Mr. Carlos Matias Ramos has been a member of the European Economic and Social Committee since 2015. He is a civil engineer and former president of the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering (Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil - LNEC). He was also the president of the Portuguese Association of Engineers (Ordem dos Engenheiros). The Association is part of the National Council of Liberal Professions (Conselho Nacional das Ordens Profissionais - CNOP), an umbrella organisation that represents about 300.000 members of the liberal professions. In the course of his career, Mr. Matias Ramos has worked as researcher in hydraulic structures, fluid mechanics and water resources. He is a full member of the Portuguese Academy of Engineering and invited full professor of Lusófona University of Lisbon.
