CEAR Project - Preventing violent extremism in Europe

Training sessions for NGOs on the prevention of violent extremism in Europe.

27.04.21 - 00h00

CEAR - Community Engagement Against Radicalisation Project is excited to announce the Development of Training Sessions for NGOs to support civil society organisations in developing strategic programmes to counter and prevent violent extremism (P/CVE).

The general objective of the CEAR project is, primarily, to systematize a practical model of community and civic engagement that can enhance civil society's skills and capacity to prevent and counter radicalisation (PVE/CVE) by developing digital toolkits to disseminate in the local communities. Secondly, to develop support structures offering to all relevant local actors tailored trainings and consultancy services to help them to implement specific initiatives on PVE/CVE.

Until July, the consortium will provide training and consultancy services about the content of the toolkits to NGOs in Portugal, France, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, and Romania, to develop effective initiatives to counter hate and extremism in their communities.

CEAR Project Consortium believes the training will be an opportunity to share effective tools to support practitioners on the path to effective counter-extremism.

The Project is funded by the Internal Security Fund - Police from the European Union, led by Lusófona University (Portugal), and implemented also by a consortium composed of CESIE (Italy); UPPSALA UNIVERSITET(Sweden) SVF(Hungary); CSI(Cyprus); Active Citizens Partnership (Greece); Techsoup (Poland); CAPRI (France); PATRIR (Romania); BONS (France).
