Resume

Elisabete Muchagato Mauricio has a PhD in Biomedicine: biotechnology and food industries from the University of Alcalá de Henares and a Master's degree in Food Technology and Quality from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She is currently an Assistant Professor and Researcher (career) at Universidade Lusófona. She carries out her research mainly in the area(s) of Engineering Sciences and Technologies in the specialty of microbiology, Food Technology, Valorization of food by-products, detection of pathogens in food and cosmetic products. She is currently, and since 1995, Technical Director at the dermocosmetics and nutraceuticals company Elisa Câmara, Lda where she is responsible for the research and formulation laboratory for cosmetics and nutraceuticals. For more than 20 years, it has been developing dermocosmetic and nutraceutical formulas for the national and international market. He is a participating member of the IPQ Technical Committee, and ISO / TC 217 – Cosmetics Technical Committee; and the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). He published 19 articles in specialized journals and participated in several international conferences with oral and poster presentations. She is a researcher with participation in several national and international project(s) and supervisor of several academic works in companies and master's theses for over 20 years.
