Also intends that students understand the most important indicateurs about development and that the students know how to analyse development projects and write works in that areas.

Syllabus

The economics fundaments;

Basic elements of demand and supply;

Economic growth and development: interaction and measures;

The functions of State and his role social and economic;

Public policies for development;

Social and solidar economy;

Ethics and social responsibility in organizations;

Institurtions devoted to development;

Management of socioeconomi projects of development.

Objectives

The general goal of this UC is to give to the students knowledge, skills and competences to understand the relations between economy and social development and also give strategic, tatics and operational elements to contribute to the formulation, planning and management of public policies of socioeconomic development. TO this general goal we link public policies, social economics, leadership, and management of non-governmental organazitions; ethics and social responsibility; sustainable development; sources of financing and management of project.

Teaching methodologies and assessment

Teaching Methodology:

Theoretical and practical classes; case analyses

Evaluation Methodology:

Written test (50%);

Work individual or in group (50%).
