Syllabus
Labour law: scope and notion. Individual labour relations and collective labour relations. Labour law sources. Employment contract. The legal subordination. Employment contract formation. Distinction between Employment Contract and Service Contracts. Types of employment contracts. Duties of the worker and the employer. Powers of the employer. The trial period. Organization of working time. The holidays. The absenses. The retribution. The place of work. The suspension of the employment contract. Modalities for termination of employment contracts. Collective dimension of labour law.

Objectives
Objectives
To promote the understanding of Labour Law as a science of essentially practical interest, whose objective is to regulate labor relations normatively. Provide the acquisition of adequate knowledge, to understand the employment contract as a central figure of labour law, and to constitute a minimum instrument and a means of sensitization for deepening and understanding the regimes that regulate the various aspects of labour relations.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
The classes will be mostly theoretical and practical, that is always contemplating the possibility of students to apply in practical terms the previously acquired theoretical knowledge and continuous assessment involves the completion of a written test, participation in classes and assignments.
