Class Applied Project in Aeronautical Management

  • Presentation

    Presentation

    This UC develops skills in the field of applied research, that is, leading students to observe, criticize, reflect, understand and systematize the different problems that result from the interactions, processes and perception of the realities that are present in organizations in the aeronautical sector in their multiple aspects. Thus, students have to develop the ability to identify and solve problems systematically, and also the ability to use the most appropriate scientific methodology.

    The main objectives are to develop in the students lines of thought that allow the connection between the different multidisciplinary contents, the originality and relevance of the themes, with a view to presenting an Applied Project in Aeronautical Management.

    Contact hours are based on Tutorial Orientation. However, at the beginning of the semester, sessions are held to frame applied research work in sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation, in which the following Syllabus (S) are addressed:
    S1: The fundamental research questions in the field of aeronautical management and framed in different areas of knowledge: fostering interdisciplinarity, originality and relevance of the studies to be carried out;
    S2: Systematized discussion on the themes presented and developed;
    S3: The presentation of the methodology for the elaboration of an Applied Project in Aeronautical Management;
    S4: The elaboration according to the norms and presentation of an Applied Project;
    S5: The ethical framework related to research methodology.

    Objectives

    The Learning Outcomes (LO) are as follows:
    LO1: Develop original and autonomous thinking about research;
    LO2: Develop research, analysis, synthesis, and written and oral communication skills for the development of topics related to the areas of knowledge that characterize aeronautics management;
    LO3: Relate the knowledge about theories, methods and techniques acquired in the areas of investigation of aeronautical management to present concepts and entrepreneurship and business;
    LO4: Explore the methodological tools necessary for the development of the themes dealt with and chosen by the students;
    LO5: Elaborate according to the norms and present an Applied Project in the field of aeronautical management.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Using an active methodology, the students will have to research articles that support the themes they intend to study in future projects. Through autonomy, they are taught the ability to solve a scientific problem. In addition, the use of digital artificial intelligence platforms is encouraged, only to make students aware of their potential for tutoring and helping them to access information, and it is not recommended that they be used as a substitute for the process of research and critical thinking essential to the course.
