Class Basic Chemistry

  • Presentation

    Presentation

Chemistry is a science that studies the basic concepts of General Chemistry, such as matter, its transformations that occur with it, and the energies involved in these processes, atom, chemical elements, Periodic Table, and chemical bonds and reactions. This basic chemistry course will introduce you to the study of this science, taking a first look at chemistry and providing support to further your studies.

  • Objectives

    Objectives

The principal objectives were to perform a global perspective of chemistry study and show the interaction with other sciences. To reach the knowledge of chemistry bases to apply in specific areas as Biochemistry, Biology and medicine. Particular emphasis is placed on problem analysis, deduction reasoning and logical conclusions. The alternating theoretical and practical classes with some laboratory experiments aim to prepare the student for work in terms of behavior in view of the safety rules, material handling, observation skills, reasoning and drafting a scientific report

  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

Implementation of extra classes online for student support with additional exercises for homework giving better understanding of the subject.
