Objectives
Objectives
It is intended to enable students to understand the organization of the human body by studying its histological constitution and understanding the distribution of its institutions in a systemic concept. It is also intended to enable them to observe, describe, and correctly use the anatomical nomenclature, always from a functional perspective.
Upon completion of the course the student shall be able to:
- describe the structure (gross and histology) and functions of various organs of the human body
- identify the various tissues and organs of the different systems of the human body
- appreciate basic coordinated working pattern of different organs of each system

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
As for the evaluation:
A) In continuous evaluation, students will be regularly assessed by accounting for (A) their weekly performance (participation, knowledge, dexterity, communication, among others) in practical and theoretical-practical classes (45%), and (B) the weighted average of global evaluations in the form of frequencies | seminars | others (40%) scheduled at the beginning of the academic year and (C) other mobile elements (quizzes; instant papers; reports; others) that can take place in any teaching environment (theoretical, practical or theoretical-practical) (15%) .
B) The minimum passing grade at the UC is 9.5 values.
C) the final exam applies to students who opt for it or who do not succeed in the continuous evaluation, covering the totality of the syllabus.
Grade improvement (understanding prior achievement) is carried out as an oral assessment test, encompassing the entirety of the syllabus.
