    I. Introduction to Operations Management. Basic concepts: Operations and productivity. Project management and control: Project management techniques: CPM/ PERT;
    Cost - time trade-offs.
    II. Process analysis and management. Process analysis and design. Quality management: Statistical
    process control. Methodology 6-Sigma for continuous improvement. Aggregate Planning: Chase and
    level strategies. Short - term scheduling: Scheduling: Priority rules for dispatching jobs. Waiting lines:
    Models MM1 and MMS.
    III. Supply Chain Management. Concepts. Lean techniques: JIT, Kanban. Inventory Management:
    ABC analysis; EOQ; Probability models for independent demand: fixed quantity with constant and random demand, and fixed -
    period with random demand systems. Dependent demand models.

    Objectives

    The objective is to give to the students the concepts and techniques to allow them to understand and
    work on continuous improvement of processes of the firm.

    During classes students work in groups and are changelled to apply the contents taught to real life problems .
