    Given the introductory character of this UC is intended to spread the theoretical bases that support the
    specific study of the Sociology of Work and Management Processes, related to the post-industrial society
    and the inherent ethical and deontological issues that make up HUman Resources Management. Special
    emphasis is given to theoretical assumptions that include human resource management activities related
    to work organization. Finally, it is intended to contribute to the development of the individual skills related
    with work phenomena, employment and management, taking into consideration the several related
    disciplines throughout the degree.

  • Objectives

    Objectives

    At the end of this curricular unit the student should be able to understand the theoretical bases that
    underpin the specific study of Sociology of Work and Management Processes, associated with the
    post-industrial society and the inherent ethical and deontological issues. Likewise, it aims to provide
    students the capacity to intervene in companies and organizations, taking into account the theoretical
    assumptions that include activities of human resources management related with the work organization in
    relation with the processes of direct and strategic management. Finally, we intend to contribute to the
    development of the individual soft skills: proactivity, reinforcement of creativity, initiative, availability to
    learn and teamwork, in the context of the informational society.

  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Adult education active methods will be used, namely: a) classroom debates; B)
    viewing of online videos followed by debate; c) group exercises in the classroom, using the
    European Commission and other national and international organisations websites.
