The curricular unit of Nutrition in Childhood and Adolescence aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge on the food and nutrition of healthy and pathological children and adolescents.

Tutorial classes aimed to consolidate the acquired knowledge, through the active participation of the student in the teaching – learning process: research, critical evaluation, analyses and transmission of scientific information about relevant themes to the curricular unit. 

The evaluation carried out in the 'Continuous Evaluation' modality results from the weighted average of a written theoretical evaluation (70%), of a group work component (20%) and a participation component in classes (10%). A final grade equal to or greater than 9.5 values ¿¿(on a scale of 0 to 20 values) is considered approved in the continuous evaluation.

In the scope of the evaluation, only by final written exam, it is considered approved, all students whose classification in the final written exam, rounded to the tenth, is equal to or greater than 9.5 values. The final exam takes the form of a written test and includes the entire subject matter, with theoretical and practical questions.
