Class Functional Anatomy I

This curricular unit is designed to transmit fundamental knowledge about the structure and functions of the human body, thus preparing the students so that in the subsequent UCs they can understand how the human body reacts in the most diverse situations, whether physiological or pathological.

3. Integumentory system and its histology

4. Skeletal System:

5. Joint system.

6. Muscular system.

7. Central Nervous System. 

8. Peripheral Nervous System.

9. Autonomic Nervous System.

10. Sense organs.

As for the evaluation:

A) In continuous evaluation, students will be regularly assessed by accounting for (A) their weekly performance (participation, knowledge, dexterity, communication, among others) in practical and theoretical-practical classes (45%), and (B) the weighted average of global evaluations in the form of frequencies | seminars | others (40%) scheduled at the beginning of the academic year and (C) other mobile elements (quizzes; instant papers; reports; others) that can take place in any teaching environment (theoretical, practical or theoretical-practical) (15%) .

B) The minimum passing grade at the UC is 9.5 values.

C) the final exam applies to students who opt for it or who do not succeed in the continuous evaluation, covering the totality of the syllabus.

Grade improvement (understanding prior achievement) is carried out as an oral assessment test, encompassing the entirety of the syllabus.
