    1. Understand the fundamentals of financial accounting in the context of the tourism industry.

    2. Learn to record specific financial transactions related to tourism activities.

    3. Interpret and analyze financial statements to assess the economic performance of tourism companies.

    4. Use accounting information to support financial decision-making.

    5. Recognize the accounting particularities of different companies in the tourism sector.

    6. Acquire knowledge of the language, concepts, and functioning of Management Accounting in the Hospitality Industry, with a special emphasis on the USALI - Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    1. Use of Digital Tools: The use of digital tools, such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI, will be integrated into activities involving the analysis of accounting data in the tourism sector. Students will learn to analyze and interpret data using Excel for more detailed analyses. Additionally, Power BI will be utilized for creating interactive and visually appealing reports that enable comparative data analysis within the tourism sector.

    2. Project-Based Learning: Autonomous work based on practical case studies will be developed throughout the course, involving the practical application of the covered concepts.

    3. Multimedia Resources: Access to digital resources to complement learning outside the classroom.
