- Cables: determination of tensile efforts;
- General design of the supporting structure of the constructions. Pre-sizing of current reinforced concrete structures. - Notion of stress and deformation;
- Determination of tensile, compression, torsion and cutting efforts;
- Statically indeterminate structures. Traction and compression;
- Tensions in beams;
- Examples of simple and advanced structural solutions.
- Bending in beams;
- Columns;
- Statically indeterminate beams;
- Predimensioning;
- Security and actions in buildings;
- Types of soils and their behavior.

Objectives
It is also intended to transmit knowledge in the determination of internal stresses in structural elements as a result of the efforts to which they are subject and to compare them with the stresses that different materials can withstand. In this sense, the program will be developed through the resolution of practical exercises that aim to encourage the student to implement the acquired concepts and methods.
