Presentation
The development process involves profound structural changes. The role of the State, industrialization, the place of agriculture or education are areas that need to be critically scrutinized. On the other hand, the problems facing developing countries – poverty, inequalities, rapid urbanization – must be understood in order to be successfully tackled. Finally, it is recognized that the development process cannot be disconnected from the so-called “globalization” and its main actors.
