    Clinical Nutrition is the area of nutrition that focuses on the application of nutritional and dietary principles in the context of caring for individuals, especially those with specific health conditions. With the increase in the prevalence and incidence of diet-related pathologies, Lusófona University's Master's in Clinical Nutrition focuses on the postgraduate training of professionals who will play a fundamental role in optimising health, preventing or treating pathologies and improving quality of life through food, always in accordance with the latest clinical guidelines.

    Admission Conditions

    a) Holders of a bachelor's degree, master's degree or legal equivalent, preferably in the area of Nutrition Sciences, Dietetics and Nutrition, Biomedical Sciences, Sports Sciences, Health Sciences and related areas; b) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, which is recognized as satisfying the objectives of the degree of licenciado by the statutorily competent scientific body; c) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum, even if it is outside the health area, which is recognized as attesting to the ability to complete this cycle of studies by the statutorily competent scientific body, subject to an interview. Selection criteria: Candidates with a classification in their previous qualification: - 50% classification of previous qualification; - 25% CV; - 25% Interview. Candidates without a classification in their previous qualification: - 50% CV; - 25% Interview; - 25% Motivation/justification for application. Candidates without a degree: - 50% CV; - 25% Interview; - 25% Motivation/justification for application.

    Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired

    - Deepen technical-scientific knowledge in Clinical Nutrition; - Understand the fundamental principles of nutritional intervention based on the Nutrition Care Process methodology; - Develop skills in the assessment, diagnosis, design and implementation of nutritional interventions (specialised diets, enteral and parenteral nutritional support, oral nutritional supplements) and monitoring; - Understand the importance of applied research as a key element in innovation, competitiveness and economic and social progress.
