Class Ergonomics

This Curricular Unit (UC) aims to develop the knowledge on Ergonomics, as well as to endow the students with skills on identification and evaluation of occupational risks associated with ergonomics.

Different levels of work analysis 2.5 Indicators of an ergonomic program. C3. Anthropometry 3.1. Notions of anthropometry 3.2. Types of anthropometric data 3.3. Anthropometric criteria and limitations 3.4. Recommendations for workstations 3.5. Application of the anthropometric database C4. Methods of ergonomic risk assessment 4.1. Identification of ergonomic risk factors 4.2 General principles of LMERT prevention 4.3 NIOSH'91 equation 4.4. Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA)

- Theoretical exposition (M1) of the main programmatic contents (C); Practical cases (M2)

- Written evaluation (80% weighting) and Group work (20%)
