The scientific area of the Master¿s is part of Communication and Information Sciences, which includes the specific field of Communication in Organisations. Throughout the years, ULHT has promoted specialised training (degrees in Communication in Organisations and Communication and Culture Science) in order to acquire the technical and scientific competences of Organisational Communications, which are decisive for the efficiency of corporate management.
The profound articulation between organisational behaviour paradigms (namely, leadership, motivation, job satisfaction, culture and organisational environment, negotiation process, decision making, conflict management, organisational citizenship behaviours, change management) and the communicational strategies of organisations is unquestionable in the academic and corporate environment, in response to the increment of management performance and the increase of competition and productivity in the organisations. "Público" 17/Set/03) conducted by McKinsey regarding the barriers to the productivity growth in Portugal, allows us to infer the importance of Communication in Organisations as a decisive contribution to overcome the inefficiencies and difficulties of many of our companies, in response to an environment in constant mutation.
Actually, many analysts and scholars are unanimous in affirming that the velocity of changes and the use of response time as a competition differentiation factor require the pressing reaction and proactive abilities from the companies and communities. However, these are possible only possible through communicational devices, capable of disseminating and internalizing in the agents involved mobilizing goals of a strategic culture in various organisations.
