António Aurélio da Silva Cardoso
António Cardoso is a Lecturer at the Lusófona University of Lisbon, in the Department of Film and Media Arts. He holds a PhD in Visual Arts from the University of Évora, with the thesis "The over-stimulated spectator, the reception of contemporary photographic art ". In 2007 he completed his master's degree (MA) in Photographic Studies, directed by David Bate, at the University of Westminster in London, UK. As a practice-based researcher, António's interests focus on the intersection between Art and Technology, especially when applied to the fields of Interactivity, Participation and Spectatorship, Currently António's research focus is focusing on how the exponential growth of new digital technologies is affecting both artistic practice and its reception.
