Resume

Conceição Costa is a PhD in Communication Sciences - Media Studies from FCSH-Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She is an Associate Professor at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias (UHLT) and Principal Researcher at CICANT in Lisbon, Portugal. She is a lecturer at Bachelor degrees, Master degrees and Doctoral degrees at ECATI, teaching curricular units related with Communication and Technology namely: Human-Computer Interaction (Informatics Engineering bachelor degree); User Experience (UX) for Videogames (Videogames bachelor degree); Media and Education in the Master of Teaching Visual Arts for the 3rd cycle of Basic and Secondary School; Social Marketing and Advertising (Cinema, Video and Mulimedia Communication bachelor degree); ; Seminar of Communication and Technology (PhD in Communication Sciences) and Interaction Design (NEMPS - Novos Media e Sistemas Ubíquos. She was a member of the COST Action ISO906 (2010-2014) and has been involved in several European publications about media literacy and Game-Based Learning. She was the Principal Investigator of GamiLearning project (UTAP-ICDT/IVC-ESCT /0020/2014) funded by FCT and the coordinator of ECFOLI in Portugal (ERASMUS+). Currently she is the Principal Investigator of GBL4deaf - Videojogos Educativos Acessíveis a Surdos (LISBOA-01-0145-FEDER-032022) funded by FCT and LISBOA2020 and MILT- Media Literacy for Living Together, funded by European Commission.
