EN_Ines Correia is a Senior Paper and Book Conservator and has a PhD (2014) in History of Art on the subject of manuscript archaeology. Between 1997 and 2018 worked as Book conservator for the safety and conservation of permanent Manuscripts collections in storage or exhibition.at National Archive of Torre do Tombo (ANTT) in Portugal. Has experience in national and international conservation projects for both public and private institutions including UNESCO, Levantine Foundatiom, Fundação Oriente, B.Safe and EXPM; as conservation specialist, represents Portugal at the European Research Center for Book and Paper Conservation-Restoration. Since 2010, belongs to IEM (Instituto de Estudos Medievais, FCSH, Univesidade Nova de Lisboa) and cooperates within interdisciplinary teams in scientific projects to increase medieval manuscripts knowledge and related conservation activity. She attended the doctoral year in Media Art at Universidade Lusófona (2017/18) and is the commissioner of the exploratory project LivrObjecto ¿ Anatomia e Arquitectura (www.livrobjecto.wordpress.com), whose events recorded since 2017 have already been hosted by the Library of Olivais, Art Library and Gulbenkian Archives, Galeria Diferença, Biblioteca de São Lázaro, Fábrica Braço de Prata and the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Chiado. At the moment is Head Conservator at the Design Museum (MUDE)|CML, Portugal and has particular coordination and curatiorial participation on Graphic Design Collections, developing collections preservation policy and supervising conservation and restoration programs, supervising and monitoring air conditioning installations and all necessary risk mitigation actions. The MUDE conservation department develops partnerships with several academic institutions to study design collections, characterize materials and host internships in the context of master's and doctoral studies. As coordinator and responsible for managing the collection, she develops the tools necessary to systematically record the physical state of design pieces and implements monitoring and prioritization programs. She is a guest lecturer by DELLI at Universidade Lusófona and teaches master's degree courses in design, also supervising students in their dissertations. She is a guest member of the design research unit, COW-Center for Other Worlds, and is part of the IDA-Iberian Design Archives Project, as coordinator and mediator.
